Description
Firewalls setup in corporate network by corporate security organizations to prevent improper use, hamper development efforts within the network. This article teaches you how to use Java Servlet technology to overcome this by creating a tunnel to the business layer of your corporate network. This tutorial also discusses a substitution to SOAP and the use of Java objects over HTTP. This article also explains the ways to employ other servlet-based methods of tunneling through the corporate firewall also discussing the advantages and disadvantages of each method.
