Vclcomponents - component library for programming languages

Description

ActiveX edit control with customizable action button. You can use it to provide easy file or directory selection or creating any other actions on pressing button connected with Input control. You can open your form, for example, and then, put entered text into edit box.

Properties list:
ActionStyle - specifies action to make on button click
ActionDirSelect_DialogCaption - caption for select directory dialog,
used only if ActionDirSelect_WinStyle is False
ActionDirSelect_HelpContext - Help context ID for select directory
dialog, used only if ActionDirSelect_WinStyle is False
ActionDirSelect_Options - options for select directory dialog,
used only if ActionDirSelect_WinStyle is False
ActionDirSelect_Root - root folder for select directory dialog,
used only if ActionDirSelect_WinStyle is True
ActionDirSelect_WinStyle - determines style for select directory dialog
ActionFileSelect_DialogCaption - caption of file select dialog box
ActionFileSelect_InitialDir - starting directory for file select dialog box
ActionFileSelect_Filter - filter string for of file select dialog box
ActionFileSelect_HelpContext - Help context ID for file select dialog box
ButtonWidth - width of button in pixels
HideSelection - determines whether the visual indication of the selected
text remains when focus shifts to another control
MaxLength - maximum number of characters the user can enter into the edit control
ReadOnly - determines whether the user can change the text of the edit control
Text - contains a text string associated with the control
Visible - determines whether control is visible

Methods list:
PathValid - returns True if path entered in control exists otherwise
returns False, also returns False if ActionStyle is not asDirSelect
FileNameValid - returns True if file entered in control exists otherwise
returns False, also returns False if ActionStyle is not asDirSelect
