DLSuperC makes it easy to compare different versions of the same text file. Use it interactive or batch. It offers speed, accuracy, and versatility with a variety of file sizes greater than 64K. You use a tabbed interface to set it up -- selecting files, establishing preferences, and choosing options. You can set filters to ignore characters, reformatted lines, upper/lower case changes, and more. Once the options are set, enter the files you want to compare. The program reads the files and creates a report that can be printed (plain or colored) or saved as a rich-text document. It will find any changes between the versions -- it even notes when the same line is moved out of sequence. Processes unordered database lists. Additional functionality is provided to process specific sections of source files, aid Cobol programmers, perform batch processing, and ignore programming code comments.
