Description of scanAlert :
This is a server script written on perl which monitors the log entries and produce report for port scan findings to syslogd. This program acts as a straight forward interface and configuration file is available. In this script if the admin syslogs to a central server this script monitor a whole network of hosts. The log entries can also be reviewed by the users at a later time.
