Description of Password Hurler Protection :
A simple to install script that stops brute force attacks on .htaccess protected areas by limiting the number of failed authentication attempts. Once the limit is reached, user is banned from accessing the site. Logs are kept of all attacks and the webmaster can be notified by email when an attack occurs.
