Description
Cookies can be intrusive, but they can also be a great way to store specific information about the people using your site and enable you to customize output specifically tailored to their input. You can construct a simple cookie based on user test input by entering the cookie name, the name of the value you want the cookie to contain, and how long (in days) you want your cookie to last. Valid values in this script writer are any negative values through 365 for cookie expiration. Once built you can copy and paste the code into virtually any asp document and on initialization will display a text box for input. Once submitted the cookie is written to the client PC. Since the form action is set to the same page, on the next iteration, and all subsequent views (until the cookie expires, or its deleted from the client PC) the inputted value will be displayed.
